Sylvan Park Students’ Gift from 1958

Kindergarten is studying life in the past, so Ms. Calverly has been digging through some Sylvan Park history in the library and found these gems from 1958. These are some students planting what later became the big magnolia tree out front. What a big difference a small act of service has made for our community!

Sylvan Park’s Museum of Dreams

We celebrated the conclusion of our school-wide Paideia project by touring the exhibits in Sylvan Park’s Museum of Dreams.  Students learned about state & national symbols, habitats, westward expansion, space, renewable energy, and 1800’s America.  We had a great time touring the museum and are so proud of our Sylvan Park Panthers!
Now it is your turn!  Sign up for a tour during International night on March 24th.  You don’t want to miss it!

Sylvan Park Alumna Speaks to PTO

On March 6 the Sylvan Park Elementary PTO had our annual board retreat. We were lucky enough to have Yvonne Eaves come and speak with us about her time at Sylvan Park Elementary. She attended our school from 1963-1969 and still resides in Sylvan Park. It was an honor to hear about her experiences at our special school.
