February 12: Diversity Night (Adult Education)

Diversity Night is an annual adult education seminar hosted by the PTO, where parents/caregivers, neighbors, and educators, are invited to discussions around diversity and inclusion. This year’s topic is “Discussing Race with our Children” and will include a presentation, followed by a discussion/Q&A session, with an equity-minded therapist.

WHO: Adults in our neighborhood and school community

WHAT: “Discussing Race with Our Children” – a presentation from an equity-minded therapist, followed by a discussion/Q&A session

WHEN: Thursday, February 12, from 5:00-6:30pm

WHERE: School Library

WHY: As our kids experience differences firsthand and navigate our complex society, they will come to us with questions about race. How can we talk to our kids about race? This is work for all of us, regardless of how we are racialized. Practice and learn with an equity-minded therapist!
