It’s Disco Time! Help us celebrate our 70’s era! You’re invited to our annual Parent Social & Auction on April 10! Join your fellow parents, teachers, and staff to eat, drink, and bid on items at the silent auction.

Why 70’s era? Because Sylvan Park Elementary is in our 70’s era! TCAP results are in, and we knocked it out of the park. Grades 3-5 have reached at least 70% proficiency in each tested subject (ELA, Math, Science). We are incredibly proud of this achievement and want to celebrate!

What are we fundraising for?

Have you ever noticed those drab, brown portable buildings in the back parking lot of our school?

While they may look plain on the outside, inside they are vibrant classrooms where students learn, grow, and are inspired every single day.

This year, our PTO has set an exciting fundraising goal: to raise $35,000 through the auction to completely transform this space.

We envision turning this overlooked area into something beautiful and welcoming — with large-scale murals covering the portable buildings and a thoughtfully designed outdoor space that all students and teachers can use and enjoy every day.

Take a look at the image below for an idea of what we’d like to create. The funds would cover things like general site clean-up and clearing, asphalt patching/overlay/painting, planters & plants, building a gate, new skirt panels around the portables, mural paint, and outdoor furniture. 

Together, we can reimagine this part of campus and create an environment that reflects the creativity, excellence, and spirit of our school.

Tickets are on sale now and are $70 per person through March 26. After March 26, tickets increase to $80 per person, so be sure to purchase early to secure the best price and help us plan for an accurate headcount. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Your ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, music, and the opportunity to bid on our exciting silent auction items. Mixed drinks will be available for purchase.
